According to a media report, a worli dog owner Rishabh Patel was sentenced to 4 months rigorous imprisonment after his pet dog, a husky bit his neighbor Ramik Shah in the lift.
Shah was going down in the lift of Alfa apartments, worli, when Patel wanted to enter the lift with his dog.
Though shah who was his son, domestic help protested against patel entering the lift, patel insisted on entering the lift and his dog bit shah on his left arm. After the incident shah filed a police complaint against patel. CCTV footage was used as evidence for the incident, to confirm when shah and patel entered and left the lift.
Living in a building where residents own dogs, especially large dogs can be inconvenient for residents, since the dogs may bite other residents. Huskies are expensive dogs usually costing more than Rs 40000.

As an Indian dog owner who lives in a country which is only now coming to terms with increasing dog ownership, I can confirm that Indians are the worst dog owners – they buy “status” dogs like huskies that they don’t know how to care for or train, foist the responsibility of walking and exercising the dog on the house help, and NEVER pick up their dog’s poop. The number of disgusted sideways glances I get from other dog owners when picking up my dog’s poop is really the most infuriating thing. The country I live in has extremely harsh penalties for littering/making a mess in public, and I’ll shed not a single tear for any one of those guys who picks up a hefty fine for exactly this!

Some Indian pet owners are highly irresponsible and entitled assholes. Not all, but some for sure. No offenses to the good ones.
I live in a western country and here you would hardly hear a dog bark (or a kid screaming and crying at the top of his/her voice in the public for that matter). Even if you come across a dog in the lift/elevator who starts barking, the owner takes it on them to calm the dog down because it’s not other persons fault that the dog is barking on them. However, in India some dog owners don’t ever calm the dog down when it’s barking unnecessarily. As a matter of fact, they want the dog to bark since they think it’ll keep the burglars away.
Some of these entitled assholes wouldn’t even flinch if their dog is barking or trying to bite a person who’s of the lower social status than them.
